Terms of Service

1. Who we are
JMO Hub operates JMO BizHub, a marketplace connecting buyers with independent service providers in Nigeria. We are not a party to the work agreed between a buyer and a provider. We provide the platform, the payment-protection mechanism and the dispute process described below.
2. Accounts
You must give accurate registration details and keep your password secure. One account may hold both buyer and provider roles. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and a suspended account loses access immediately.
3. Providers and verification
Providers may submit identity and business documents for review. A “verified” badge means our team reviewed the documents submitted and found them consistent with the identity claimed. It is not a guarantee of the quality, legality or outcome of any work. Verification may be withdrawn, and may be required again if circumstances change.
Only verified providers may publish listings publicly.
4. Payments and protected funds
When a buyer funds a job, the money is captured and held by a licensed payment service provider. JMO never holds customer funds. Our ledger records entitlement to those funds; the money itself remains at the PSP until it is released to the provider or returned to the buyer.
Funds are released to the provider when the buyer approves the delivered work, when the approval window elapses without buyer action, or when a dispute is resolved in the provider's favour.
5. Commission
We deduct a commission from the provider's earnings on each completed job. The rate is determined by the provider's lifetime volume tier and is fixed at the moment the job is funded — a later change to our schedule does not affect a job already funded. The applicable rate is shown before the provider accepts work.
6. The job lifecycle
A job moves through defined states: awaiting funding, funded, in progress, delivered, then approved and released, or disputed. Deadlines apply at several points — a funding window, and an approval window after delivery, after which work is automatically approved. These windows are shown in the interface.
7. Cancellations and refunds
A funded job that has not been delivered may be cancelled and refunded to the buyer. Refunds are instructed to the payment provider and returned to the original payment method. Timing depends on the payment provider and your bank.
8. Disputes
Either party may raise a dispute while funds are held. Raising a dispute freezes release. Our team reviews the evidence and rules to release in full, refund in full, or split the amount. That decision is final on the platform. See the dispute policy.
9. Conduct and off-platform dealing
Contact details are masked until a job is funded. Taking a transaction off the platform removes payment protection and dispute recourse from both sides, and may result in suspension.
10. Content
You keep ownership of what you upload. You grant us a licence to host and display it for the purpose of operating the platform. You must have the rights to anything you upload.
11. Liability
We provide the platform “as is”. We are not liable for the acts or omissions of buyers or providers, nor for the quality of work performed. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Nigerian law.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified to registered users. Continued use after a change means acceptance.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
